Cold Creek Furniture Company offers edge distressed wooden bread boxes at our Cold Creek Bread Box Store. These bread boxes have an authentic ' worn' look, as though several different colored paints have been applied over time, and have' worn through' on the edges. To duplicate this antique condition, we first apply 2 coats of paint for the underlying edge color, then apply the top coat of paint as the final color. We then rub down the edges with sandpaer to expose the underlying edge color. We then apply a finish coat of flat cabinet lacquer on the entire bread box. The bread box is therefore easy to clean, but retains the look of an aged antique. Cold Creek Furniture Company |
